Research: The Process

The mechanics are straightforward. On every transaction a portion of the gross commission charged will be applied to the client’s account. This amount is carried as a credit by Interstate for the client to purchase research products and services and is reflected monthly on Interstate’s specialized ISA Investment Services Statement. The statement is a timely and complete record of transactions, credits and disbursements made from the account.

The amount of commission that Interstate charges on each transaction and the percentage of gross commission that is credited to the account are negotiated and reviewed periodically based upon anticipated annual volume, average ticket size and type of transaction. Research services can be provided prior to the generation of comparable commissions, and account balances may be carried forward from year to year.
