Grady G. Thomas, Jr.
Grady G. Thomas, Jr. is President of The Interstate Group and Managing Director at NatAlliance Securities, LLC. He joined Interstate Securities (later merged to become Interstate/Johnson Lane) in 1977, and formed The Interstate Group, Division of Interstate/Johnson Lane in 1987 to provide independent research and commission recapture to institutional clients.

Mr. Thomas has been very active in industry affairs throughout his career:

• Served on the SIFMA Institutional Brokerage Committee; Past Chairman of the SIA Institutional Brokerage Committee
• Chairman Emeritus of the National Organization of Investment Professionals (NOIP), and member of the board of directors
• Served on the Board of Governors of the Boston Stock Exchange for four terms, and as Chairman of the BSE's Traders Advisory Committee
• Past Chairman of the NASD District 7 Committee and of the District 7 Nominating Committee
• Past Governor of the national Security Traders Association
• Chairman Emeritus of the Carolina Security Traders Association, and Founding President of the North Carolina Security Traders Association

Jay A. Thomas
Jay A. Thomas is Chief Operating Officer of The Interstate Group and Managing Director at NatAlliance Securities, LLC. He joined The Interstate Group in 2003. Prior to that, he was in sales and trading of fixed income securities with a Wall Street firm and a regional brokerage.

He served as a member of the SIFMA Institutional Brokerage Committee. He is Past Chairman and Past President of the Carolina Security Traders Association.
